"We were told by Jesse Van Diest when he was playing in AN to contact Martyr Records in NY as he thought Steve would be into us. An email and package sent later and next thing ya know Steve called and wanted to put our 7inch out. The only bad thing was that he wanted specifically like 5 of the demo songs he liked a lot to be re-recorded for the record. We were not in any situation to be picky so we did it and only we able to get 3 new songs written. That always bummed me out as I wish the songs we recorded after this would have been on this record. Oh yeah, we recorded at Pus Cavern studios in Sacto with Eric Broyhill who was fucking badass. Mike Hood was there the whole time to help "Produce" and it was shortly after he broke edge and he was drinking 40's the whole time and telling us he was just on "straight edge" vacation the whole day! He provided great entertainment for us. Oh yeah, Tim left the band shortly before recording and Ross joined and Mike moved to bass. Our record release show was at Che Fest in San Diego. However before the regular press record came out after we had all moved to San Francisco and sadly was no longer a Redding band anymore by definition." - Duane Harris
